Why You Should Be Excited About La Neta Cocina y Lounge

Have you heard the news? La Neta Cocina y Lounge is coming soon! That’s right: one of the most buzz-worthy new restaurants in Summerlin is just about ready to accept hungry and thirsty guests.

La Neta translates from the Spanish for “be real,” and that’s one of our guiding principles. We’ve gotta be real with you — so let’s talk about why you should be excited about this new downtown Summerlin restaurant!

A Ryan Labbe Joint

You may not know the name Ryan Labbe, but chances are you’re familiar with his work. This Rhode Islander arrived in Vegas in 2011, and he’s been painting the town red ever since. Early on in his career, he began working with powerhouse groups like The Light Group and Clique Hospitality. He quickly established himself as a creative entrepreneur who could make things happen with venues and events in Sin City.

Most recently, he was the man behind Más Por Favor Taqueria y Tequila, a buzz-worthy Chinatown speakeasy.

Now, along with his company, 81/82 Group, he’s bringing his vision to Summerlin. La Neta Cocina y Lounge will serve traditional and unique takes on Mexican cuisine — along with a well-curated list of cocktails, margaritas, and mezcal.

A Showstopping Space

La Neta Cocina y Lounge will occupy a generous 5,000+ square foot space in Summerlin, and it’s going to be decked out to the nines.

The gorgeous decor includes murals made of stained glass juxtaposed by warm exposed brick walls, exposed beams, and vaulted ceilings.

Industrial meets conversation-starting with details like chandeliers, a living tree in the dining room, and living art wall installations. You’ve got to see it to believe it…

An Incredible Menu

To create a menu to suit the unique space, Labbe consulted chef Israel Castro, a veteran chef known for his work at restaurants like Javier’s at Aria and Lanny Chin of The Slanted Door, Slurp Society, and more.

The menu will feature dishes such as cochinita pibil with braised, slow-roasted pork featuring habanero onions and chicharron.

There will also be creative versions of paella, chicken relleno, and so much more…

Drinks, Drinks, Drinks!

Fans of Ryan Labbe’s past venues will likely remember epic cocktail offerings. La Neta Cocina y Lounge will continue this time-honored tradition.

Margaritas, including a house margarita made with blanco tequila and El Jefe Carajillo, spiced rum, and horchata foam, will be on the menu — as will a long list of unexpected yet tantalizing cocktails. Of course, beer and wine and non-alcoholic drinks will also be available.
